John Zapalac, Managing Director, Mr. Zapalac has been involved in the investment banking industry since 1994 primarily working on middle market leverage buyout transactions. Prior to IVS Investment Banking, Mr. Zapalac was a Vice President at McFarland, Grossman & Company, a buy-side investment bank in Houston, Texas.  Mr. Zapalac’s past work experience includes working as a portfolio manager for BHF Capital overseeing a $750 million debt fund that invested in senior bank debt of leverage buyouts and add-on acquisitions.  Ryan, Beck & Company analyzing commercial bank mergers as well as an intern for Trivest Inc, a $250+ million leverage buyout fund, analyzing private equity leverage buyout opportunities.  Mr. Zapalac received his BA in finance from Texas A&M University, MBA in corporate finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University and graduated from Citibank’s School of Banking.

Thomas Hudgins, Managing Director, Since 1998, Mr. Hudgins has been involved in providing corporate finance advisory services and M&A services both as a consultant and a principal in various private equity and public equity transactions.  Most recently, Mr. Hudgins acquired a 35-unit condominium complex.  In 1998, Mr. Hudgins was a Co-Founder and EVP of BrightStar Information Technology Group that consolidated seven IT consulting companies that went public in an $65 million IPO.  Mr. Hudgins spend the majority of his professional career as a Co- Founder and EVP of Delta-X Corporation which designed and manufactured electronic automation equipment and instruments used in the oil producing industry. Mr. Hudgins attended Texas Tech University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering in 1963.  Mr. Hudgins completed postgraduate courses in Business Law and Corporate Finance at University of Houston.
